Julianne Kiely

Julianne Kiely was admitted to the roll of solicitors in 2002. She is a graduate from the University of Limerick. She specialises in the areas of civil and criminal litigation. She has a distinguished record of courtroom advocacy with extensive trial experience, successfully representing clients in a wide range of complex legal matters in her areas of expertise.

 

She has more than 25 years’ experience and proven success in representing clients in many high-stake civil disputes, complex personal injury cases at all court levels and serious criminal defence cases.

Tom Kiely

Tom obtained an honours degree in Law and Accountancy from University of Limerick in 2004 and qualified as a solicitor in February 2009. Since then Tom has obtained a higher diploma in white collar, regulatory and corporate crime from the Honourable Society of Kings Inns and holds a qualification in Financial Regulation from University College Dublin. Tom is a criminal and regulatory law specialist and advocates on behalf of clients at all court levels

Ted McCarthy

Ted McCarthy graduated from UCD in 1983 with an honours degree in law. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1987 and established his own practice, Ted McCarthy & Company, in 1989.
Ted has worked predominantly in the area of criminal defence litigation and child law. Over the last 26 years Ted has gained invaluable experience and insight at all court levels and tribunals. He is well respected amongst his colleagues and is acknowledged as one of the most senior and experienced solicitors in his field in the Mid- West region. As a result, he is often sought by colleagues for guidance and advice.

Pauric Nesbitt

A native of Tipperary, Pauric Nesbitt graduated from the University of Limerick with an Honours degree in Law and Accounting. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2022 following his traineeship, during which he gained experience across probate, conveyancing, employment law, and both civil and criminal litigation.

Pauric joined Darach McCarthy & Co. Solicitors in 2022 and specialised in criminal defence litigation and following the incorporation of Darach McCarthy & Co. Solicitors into the firm in 2026, he continued his practice with Kiely McCarthy LLP where he remains focused on criminal defence litigation. He has represented clients before the District Court, Circuit Court, Central Criminal Court, and Court of Appeal, and was involved in a number of high-profile cases. His work encompassed every stage of the criminal process, from advising clients during Garda investigations and making bail applications to conducting contested hearings and trials.

Pauric is a member of the Legal Aid Panel of Solicitors and joined the Limerick Solicitors Bar Association in 2025. He is committed to protecting each client's rights at every stage of the legal process and to achieving the best possible outcome in every case.

Outside of practice, Pauric also enjoys playing rugby. He commenced playing rugby with his home club of Roscrea RFC and went on to play in a number of development squads as well as schools Rugby with Cistercian College Roscrea. He appears on the Senior Men's Squad for UL Bohemian RFC and has played there for over twelve years.
