Wardship

This is a legal process whereby a High Court order is sought to protect a person that is unable to manage their own affairs due to some incapacity. This will result in that person’s affairs being placed in the care of a court-appointed committee, typically consisting of family members. This process seeks to uphold the best interests of the individual.
